Classic

(Shirt and jeans: ASOS; Bag: Cambridge Satchel Company; Sandals: Dorothy Perkins; Watch: Michael Kors)

Just something classic yet casual for a long day at work. Still on the hunt for the perfect pair of not-too-tight, not-too-loose jeans. Upsettingly, I had to swap the crisp white shirt for a football shirt later in the day...don't ask...

Tricky Frills

(Skirt: ASOS; Top: Zara; Jacket: Topshop; Bag: vintage; Shoes: Dorothy Perkins)

This skirt is a lot harder to wear than I thought it would be - pale colours on the bottom half of one's body is supposedly an ill-advised move and I wonder if that has something to do with it. Just waiting for better weather when I can just chuck on an off-shoulder top or white shirt and go...

Saving Summer

(Dress: Warehouse; Top: Gap; Jacket: Topshop; Shoes: Dorothy Perkins; Bag: vintage; Belt: ASOS)

Saviour of the summer, this dress! June so far has been a bit of a washout and a bit of a cold one, so it's good to have a season-appropriate dress that layers.

Perfect Summer

(Dress: New Look; Sandals: Dorothy Perkins; Jacket: Topshop; Belt: ASOS; Bag: vintage; Ring: Tessa Metcalfe)

I'm very very pleased with this outfit for two reasons. One, because this lovely striped simple sundress was a maxi (notoriously hard to wear) and I turned it into exactly what I wanted - a mid - myself. Two, because these sandals were so darn cheap and they are so. darn. comfy. I've worn them for four days straight. Padded soles and heels for life.

Club Tropicana

(Jumpsuit: New Look; Sandals: Dorothy Perkins; Jacket: Topshop; Brooch: Black Heart Creatives; Bag: vintage)

Every summer it's basically the rules that you need to acquire some form of tropical-print thing. Last year's was a superb two-piece shorts suit, this year it's a jumpsuit. A small nightmare to wriggle into (and out of) but divine once on.

Basic Bomber

(Jacket: Topshop; Trousers: Zara; Top: Dorothy Perkins; Trainers: Adidas; Bag: Alexander Wang)

I spent most of the first month of owning this jacket with it on the blue side...now I'm really coming round to the black. In a sea of bombers this season, this was definitely worth the considerable pennies.

Also, I take back everything I said earlier in the year about cutout shoulders. They're my new favourite thing.

Throwing Shapes

(Dress: Monki; Belt: old; Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs; Trainers: Zara; Watch: Michael Kors; Ring: Tessa Metcalfe)

Doesn't Monki give good print? I've had this one in my Saved Items list forever as the darn thing keeps selling out...I love the geometric print, high neckline and riot of colours without being OTT. Definitely a better one to wear with heels, and was quite strange to wear with the contrasting floral softness of my new permanent accessory!

Gingham and Stripe

(Dress: Warehouse; Shirt: New Look; Shoes: Adidas; Bag: Alexander Wang; Belt: old)

The one advantage of the recent chill is I get to style this dress the way I knew it would look coolest - contrasting necklines, stripes and colours; fresh and pretty yet so on-trend.

Palazzo Pants

(Jacket and trousers: Topshop; Top; Dorothy Perkins; Bag: Cambridge Satchel Company; Trainers: Zara; Belt: old; Jewellery: Thomas Sabo)

If it's flared, high-waisted and bright bright red, I'm there. You saw me write about needing these trousers before and it was only a matter of time before I caved. Perfect with bright blue things...

(Trousers: Topshop; Top; Dorothy Perkins; Bag: Cambridge Satchel Company; Trainers: Zara; Belt: old; Jewellery: Thomas Sabo)

(Top: Zara; Trousers; Topshop; Belt: old; Sandals: M&S; Bag: Alexander Wang; Jewellery: John Lewis and Bendels)

...and paler striped blue things. And my latest addition; can you see it...?

Jacket 360

(Jumpsuit: ASOS; Jacket: Topshop; Belt: old; Shoes: M&S; Bag: Cambridge Satchel Company, Ring: Tessa Metcalfe)

Who doesn't love a 3/4-length flare-legged striped jumpsuit with pockets? Especially with this jacket, which everything looks good with.

(Jacket, skirt and trainers: Topshop; Bag: Alexander Wang; Watch: Michael Kors)

Just as good from the back as it is from the front...and the jacket isn't bad either!

And from the side! I also enjoyed retiring my signature bright lipstick for one day.
